Vitamin D3
The Centre can no longer get supplies of Vitamin D.
Here are your options:-
1) Ask your GP – the NHS recently added high strength D3 to the approved list. Target for D3 is 125 nm/L in blood for pwMS. GPs can test you using a blood sample.
2) Buy D3 in UK – http://www.troohealthcare.com/
Prices change rapidly, so do an internet search before buying and beware of delivery charges.

Continuing Disability Management Service
Attached is a summary of the services that the Continuing Disability Management Service provides. They are currently working on a new name for the Managing Your Disability Programme but the content will still remain the same. The Leisure and Exercise group is on hold at present as a new formula is being worked out jointly with the Community Physiotherapy team. We can refer people and have the relevant forms, please speak to myself or our Physio Tricia if you are interested.

Hope that you have already heard about the MS-SMART study looking at repurposing three drugs for use in patients with Secondary Progressive MS.
We are now at the final stage of recruitment and I would urge you to remind all your patients to contact one of the recruitment Centres, or go to the MS-SMART.org web site to register if they have not already done so.
